about me

Hello :)

I’m a Data Professional with a strong background in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Azure data tools like Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and Data Factory.

Lately, I’ve been diving deep into Fabric Real-Time Intelligence (RTI) and it has been really fun to learn more about streaming technologies, Kusto databases, and everything in between. On a daily basis, I write a lot of Python, KQL, and SQL to analyze data and troubleshoot issues. I’m also a big fan of modern open data formats like Delta Lake, Iceberg, and DuckDB, and I’m always exploring better ways to work with them.

Right now, I work as an Embedded Escalation Engineer (EEE). My main goal is to help support teams and customers resolve complex data issues faster. It is probably the most broad and dynamic role I have ever worked in because it covers so many different areas… and I absolutely love it!

To give you an idea, my day-to-day usually involves:

  • Jumping into complex support tickets to help unblock engineers and customers.
  • Writing public documentation and self-help guides so users can easily understand the product and fix common problems.
  • Spotting patterns in the issues customers face, and working directly with the engineering teams to improve the product.
  • Creating and delivering training sessions for Support Engineers, and mentoring my team.
  • Keeping an eye on support metrics to find new ways we can improve the overall customer experience.

When I’m away from the keyboard…

In my free time, you can usually find me reading a good fantasy book… I’m a huge fan of series like Game of Thrones, The Dark Tower, and The Name of the Wind. I also love playing and writing music, and most importantly, spending quality time with my dear family.

Just a quick disclaimer: this is my personal blog. The opinions, ideas, and typos here are 100% mine and do not represent my employer. So, if you find a bug in a code snippet I post here, please don’t open an official support ticket to complain about it :)
